Hotel Encanto Imperial is about to open its doors after a complete restoration.
This historical hotel of 4 stories located in the core of Santiago de Cuba, was one of the first "high buildings" of the city by the time it was built, between 1914 and 1915.
It features 39 rooms in total and a roof top terrace that will for sure become one of the places to visit in Santiago due to the excellent views it offers.
Encanto Imperial is only meters from the city´s main square, Parque Céspedes, and on the main commercial artery, Calle Enramadas, which is Santiago de Cuba’s longest street (at this moment) and the one with more business establishments.
Enramadas also connects Plaza de Marte (another important square) with La Alameda (a lovely promenade by Santiago's bay).
On top of its excellent location, within walking distance to most of the city's attractions, the Imperial is now part of the brand “Encanto” (charm in Spanish) of hotel chain Cubanacán.
These boutique hotels usually occupy historical buildings that have been brought to life after conscious restorations and have been ¨charmingly¨ furnished and decorated.
Two good examples in the city of Santiago de Cuba are Encanto Gran Hotel and Encanto San Basilio, also in the city's center.
The word Encanto can sometimes be found abbreviated to an “E” and seen at the entrance of these lodgings or used as part of the name (E Imperial).
