Very near Paseo del Prado (one of Havana’s most important and beautiful avenues) stands Hotel Park View.
The building, from 1928, was totally restored and reopened in 2002. It features 55 rooms which are simple, nothing fancy about them, but are nicely furnished and the ones on the upper floors that face the ocean have a very nice view.
Breakfast isn’t great and doesn’t offer many options, but this is compensated by the location of the hotel, no doubt its best feature, near many restaurants and bars.
Its own restaurant on the 7th floor offers great views of the city, the bay and the fortresseses that once protected it against the attack of pirates.
All in all a simple but excellently located hotel, perfect as a base to explore Havana.
