Hotel Pernik is located in a quiet area not far from Holguín’s city center by car. It is a fairly big property with a nice swimming pool, some bars and an outdoor disco that is very popular.
One shouldn’t expect much though since standards are not high and rooms are pretty dated. If one needs only a place to sleep for a night or two while travelling through Cuba, then it is adequate.
It is also a good base for visiting Gibara and other nearby towns, beaches, lakes…
