Meliá Jardines del Rey 5* All Inclusive, is the largest of all hotels operated in Cuba by the Spanish company Sol Meliá. Featuring 1176 rooms spread amongst 25 three-story bungalows and located beachfront in Playa Flamenco, Cayo Coco, Jardines del Rey.

This key is one of the most popular destinations in Cuba, for its beautiful and pristine beaches, as well as the surrounding nature. It is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, being the habitat of more than 200 species of birds including the pink flamingo. It is connected to the Cuban mainland by a 17 km long causeway over the sea and also features an international airport.

The hotel's design recalls a sugar cane plantation, with a boulevard running from the lobby to the beach like a spinal column where most of the restaurants are located, sport and game facilities, the mini club, snack bars, handicrafts stalls and the pools.

The central building provides the main services such as reception, concierge, main buffet restaurant, lobby and lobby bar, theatre bar for night time activities, multifunctional conference room, and offices, amongst others.

There is direct access to Flamenco beach which is very near Prohibida beach, both of them stunning beaches of incredibly calm-shallow waters and fine sands that are ideal for relaxing as well as snorkeling, sailing, kayaking...

The sea, the beach and the friendly staff are the highlights of this hotel, receiving many possitive reviews from visitors.

The variety of food is, as in many hotels in Cuba, the most frequent unfavorable comment about this resort. The number of diners in the buffet restaurant is uncomfortable for guests, due to the long lines that this causes, being a fairly large hotel.

Recommended for families, weddings and honeymoon, meetings and events, diving, fishing and bird watching.
