Hotel Brisas Covarrubias is located in an isolated quiet beach and cove north of Las Tunas province.
The resort is really secluded with the nearest town being 1.5hrs away, perfect for those who are tired of the buzz of the big cities and want to enjoy nature in its purest form. You can walk the beach, many Km in both directions without seeing anything but the sand and sea.
The ocean is incredible and it really is a piece of paradise that is very affordable. Lots of kayaks, catamarans & snorkeling gear are available and snorkeling is great as you can spot many pretty fish. (There is one excursion that takes one snorkeling by boat with a guide; very economical).
This resort is relatively small (180 rooms) which allows you to get to know the other visitors and the staff, who will make you feel like part of a big family.
Rooms are simply decorated and kind of outdated but very clean and spacious. One is designed for physically disabled guests.
Since it is in a swampy area, make sure you pack some insect repelent.
A nice resort at a great price! Perfect for families since there are many options for children as well.
