Emilio Bacardi Museum

The Bacardí Museum is one of the first museums founded in Cuba, and one treasuring a great wealth of history to show a visitor crossing its threshold today. It was founded by Emilio Bacardí who was the first mayor the town of Santiago ever had during the republican era.

Its three exhibition halls: Art, History and Archeology, gather over 23000 patrimonial articles such as manuscripts, documents, musical scores, coin collections, antiquities and historical relics.

The archeology room still exhibits the very first Egyptian mommy to have reached the island back in the first decade of the XX century.

Address: the Street Pío Rosado on the corner of Aguilera, Santiago de Cuba
