Morón city

This would be the final village a traveler encounters before heading through the maritime causeway leading to Coco Cay and Cayo Guillermo from the mainland.

It is the second town of importance in the province of Ciego de Ávila, outranked only by the provincial capital. It possesses singular traditions such as the celebrated Rooster of Morón, a town symbol and one that has been exalted at the gates of the town in a monumental bronze figure.

Next to the sculpture is a tower with a clock that displays not just the hour, but also lets out three crows of a rooster every six hours.
