San Juan de Dios church

Dating from the XVII century, it is located in a well-kept colonial plaza that adopted the same name of the church.

As soon as visitors cross the threshold of this religious building and enter the great hall, they are struck with the sight of the floor of the altar as well as the ceiling, for here are depictions of the trinity Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in anthropomorphic form (humanized), this being the only church in Latin-America to exhibit something of the kind.

From the top of its high tower one can drink in what are perhaps the best scenic views of the entire town.
