Plaza de Tres Cruces

This was one of the first areas to be urbanized in the foundational days of the Villa de la Santísima Trinidad (baptized as Town of the Holy Trinity) midway through the XVIII century, which is why it hosts in its vicinities some of the oldest popular houses in the city.

Its name of the Three Crosses comes from the three such catholic symbols situated in a little esplanade since 1826, when they consecrated the plaza as a celebration site for religious feasts by the community.
