The history of the Rum Caney factory transcends into the present day fame of Cuban rum, since it was precisely on this site where towards the end of the XIX century, Don Emilio Bacardí began to experiment with novel methods of refining alcohol that would modify the manner in which rum was processed in other parts of the world up till then.
