Inaugurated on February 2, 1850, in tribute to the anniversary of the founding of the city, the theater with capacity for 1,263 people is located in the provincial capital and is one of its architectural jewels.
Full of great memories of its shows, the passage of memorable artists and a history accumulated over the years that includes, in 1920, a fire that left only its walls standing, it is currently the Headquarters of the Camagüey Ballet and also of important theater festivals.
