Restaurant Don Rico throws a bar and a grill into the bargain. It is situated in the center of the city of Holguín, very near to the parks San José and Calixto García. They provide à la carte service of Cuban and international cuisine with a varied range of products on the menu.
This place offers breakfast service (quite uncommon among the paladares or private restaurants in Cuba), aside from lunch and dinner with hot and cold appetizers, pastas and pizzas prepared with different toppings, cuts of pork, chicken, cured pork loin, fish, beef and shellfish featured in steaks, glazed, smoked, a la plancha (cooked on a griddle) and stewed, although we feel obliged to highlight the dish selected as the house specialty: “Fish Filet à la Don Rico”, a plate presenting a fresh fish garnished with shrimps in salsa, cheese and ham.
