The Great Stone Park is part of the Grand Park Baconao but bears a particular relevance of its own thanks to a peculiar quirk of nature, which was ingenious enough to lay a gigantic boulder weighing about 63 thousand tons, of 51 meters in length and 25 meters height, on the very top of a mountain at more than 1000 meters above sea level.
The rock features in the famous Guinness Encyclopedia for its condition of being the largest found at that height in the whole world.
The park also stands out for its gorgeous mountainous landscapes and for the wealth and endemism in flora and fauna found there.
