Wax Museum

The Wax Museum is located on the Paseo Bayamés in the Historical Urban Center. This institution, the only one of its kind in the island, was officially inaugurated on the 29th of December, 2007.

Numerous personalities of Cuban culture and society in general have been immortalized in the sculptures stored on the premises, which amount to a total of 60.

The talented artists who created this project, employed the technique of modeling with polychromatic wax in life-sized scale; significantly, they don’t use prosthesis in their works: the teeth, nails, and eyes are made of wax as well.
