The Cienfuegos Malecón, also known as Malecón de Punta Gorda, was built in 1930. The seawalk begins at Paseo del Prado and ends in the Punta Gorda area. It was declared a World Heritage Site making it a protected area.
Different festivals are held here, such as the famous Cienfuegos carnivals, aquatic and nautical exhibitions, sailing competitions and regattas. It is also one of the most visited places in the city, a social meeting point for its inhabitants. From there you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Cienfuegos bay and its surroundings.
