Hotel Sol Cayo Santa MarÃa is a 4* all-inclusive beach resort located on Cayo Santa MarÃa, a key on the north of the province of Villa Clara that together with Cayo Coco & Cayo Guillermo forms the archipelago Jardines del Rey.
Cayo Santa MarÃa not only features a gorgeous beach, but also its wild green vegetation and rich variety of endemic fauna make this region, declared a biosphere reserve, rank as one of the most exotic areas of the whole Caribbean.
Access to the key is through a 48 Km causeway from the town of Caibarién on the main island.
The resort is not very big (300 rooms) so it provides a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and everything is near.
It features the typical architecture of the central region of Cuba. Its rocking chairs, bathrooms with panoramic views and balconies or terraces with views of the garden, the pool or the sea stand out.
The rooms are spread in bungalows or villas providing good privacy thanks to their layout. The food is simple but you can always find something tasty and fresh, if you are not very demanding in this regard . The staff is super friendly and smiling, there are not few comments in their favor.
The hotel has been built for some years now, the furniture may not be so modern, the air conditioning might make a bit of noise ... But the beach is lovely, great for snorkeling and perfect for diving, with many sun loungers and even a topless area .
All in all, a nice, relaxing place to stay. Recommended for couples and solo adult travelers alike.
