Los Jazmines is an old but recently restored Spanish hacienda-style hotel, with fancy wrought-iron grillwork, hilltop setting, and fabulous views overlooking the Viñales Valley, declared by UNESCO "Cultural Landscape of Humanity".
The hotel stands out for the exuberant vegetation that surrounds it and it is designed to profit from its unparalleled natural landscape environment; the building it self is beautiful and looks great from the outside, though the interior asks for some maintenance: furniture, air con units, bathrooms...for some guests the views are worth these "minor inconveniences"; others feel very disapointed and claim the facility is not coherent with its stars.
Its 78 rooms feature balconies facing an Olympic-size ice-blue swimming pool overhanging the cliff and offering stunning views of the valley.
Attractive excursions are offered, including: wild flora and fauna watching, tours to caverns and underwater rivers and a speleological tour of the Cavern of Santo Tomás that also includes a visit to the Moncada farmers’ community, among others.
Recommended for family vacations, circuits, ecological excursions, watching and enjoying nature.
