Hotel Iberostar Ensenachos (formerly Occidental Royal Hideaway) totals 506 rooms spread throughout three distinct sections: the Park Suites, for families and children (270 rooms); the Spa Suites, aimed at adults from 18 years old on (190 rooms); and the Grand Village Suites, for adults from 14 years old on (46 luxurious villas), plus a main building where lobby, reception, some of the restaurants and bars, the library and multifunctional rooms can be found.
This beautiful resort, decorated in a very elegant timeless style, is located on Cayo Ensenachos, a cay in the north coast of Villa Clara situated among Cayo Las Brujas and Cayo Santa María.
Although the smallest of the three, with about 2 square km only, Cayo Ensenachos is the refuge of 22 endemic species of the Cuban flora and 39 of Cuba’s fauna. Its location behind Cayo Santa María protects it from the beating of heavy waves even when the sea is rough, granting this hideaway calm relaxing beaches. Yes, there are two: Mégano, the closest one to the resort, features a restaurant, bar, music and activities that are organized by the hotel’s staff; while Ensenachos is further down but totally worth the few minutes walk, a gorgeous flat beach that seems shallow forever to enjoy total peace and quiet since no activities or restaurants are to be found here, only a bar.
Iberostar Ensenachos is the first and only hotel on this virgin cay. The Grand Village section, to which this page is dedicated, features 23 luxurious villas with 46 suites of one or two bedrooms, a living room, terrace with Jacuzzi and several exclusive services. It is the finest and more exclusive section of the hotel, with restricted access for its guests only, which have full privileged access to the rest of the resort.
The Park Suites and the SPA Suites are also available on this site on the relevant pages.
