Cenote Chac Mool

Forming part of the famous Route of the Cenotes, the Chac Mool whose name means "jaguar's claw" has become one of the most visited for its great wild beauty and the variety of scenarios it presents. Stalactite and stalagmite formations, fossil remains, tree trunks and roots and the incredible effects of the sun's rays make this an enigmatic place, ideal for diving in its deep caverns.

The cenote has a maximum depth of 14 meters with an average temperature of 25 ° C and its access is through a stone staircase. In it you can enjoy a unique visual effect that occurs when salt and fresh water meet, known as halocline and also one of the main attractions of the place known as Air Dome.

Located on Highway 307, also known as the Ruta de los Cenotes, about 22 kilometers south of Playa del Carmen, just after the Puerto Aventuras bridge.
