Hotel Central Villa Clara proudly stands at Parque Leoncio Vidal -Santa Clara's main square and a National Monument- at a great location to explore the city.
Central Villa Clara, which opened its doors as a hotel in 1929 had various subsequent uses until finally in 2015 it was totally closed for a complete and extensive restoration which succeeded in bringing this architectural gem back to life.
The oldest hotel of the plaza now looks brand new and features 26 rooms distibuted among its 3 stories, a lobby bar and restaurant on the ground floor, a terrace bar on the roof top, which offers great views of the park, the theather, library and other important buildings on the historical center.
A lovely veranda overlooking the park invites guests and passerbys to sit and sip a coffee or a cocktail while using the WiFi service and witnessing the comings and goings of the locals.
The hotel is part of the brand "Encanto" (charm in Spanish), listing mostly small hotels, generally with lots of character and very intimate, featuring few rooms many of them former residences of important families in the colonial times, now "boutique hotels" or "hotel de charme".
(The word can sometimes be found abbreviated to an “E” and used as part of the name and at the entrance of these lodgings).
