Description

Hotel Cayo Levisa is a cute resort that features rustic yet pleasantly furnished beachfront cabins offering standard and Premium accommodation in a lovely setting.

The hotel is named after the cay on which it stands, a dream island in the province of Pinar del Río ringed by 3.5 kilometers of stunning sugar-white beaches.

The island is practically virgin therefore very peaceful and quiet. By walking only a little one can feel as on a completely deserted island. But of course, it can be boring after a day or two, not offering many activities during the afternoon / night.

Rooms are spread among several log cabins, which are pretty simple but nice, good size, clean and cozy.

All meals are included but not drinks (excluding coffee at breakfast). They are reasonably priced, though.

Food is about the same every day and probably not to European standards, but you can normally choose from pork, fish and chicken to be grilled for you, and salads, rice, fruits.

Internet is available by buying a "Nauta" card but be aware, the hotel might have run out. It is probably a good idea to purchase one in Havana or Pinar del Río before hand.

Recommended for nature lovers, divers and all those travelers seeking a relaxing quiet place to rest.

Tips:

Do not expect too much from the facilities. It’s a very simple hotel with no luxuries and some things like lights or air conditioners might not work too well or be missing / broken. You can always report the problem of course, and if the hotel has a solution they will try to solve the problem.

Besides the beautiful beach which is perfect for walking and relaxing, the main interest of Cayo Levisa is its sea bottom, impressive coral reef and marine life. There is a diving center with professional instructors and 23 defined sites for SCUBA diving, highly recommended! Snorkeling at the coral reef is also possible.

Bring cash (CREDIT CARDS NOT ACCEPTED) and snacks, games, books, bug repellent.
