One of the most important eco-tourist sites in Cuba, Las Terrazas are located about 20 km northeast of Soroa and 14 km west of the highway.

The ruins of French coffee plantations as Buena Vista Coffee Plantation, built in 1801, can be visited. Additional points of interest include the Peasant's House, the ruins of San Pedro and Santa Catalina, where a trail called the Sendero Cañada del Infierno follows the Bayate river to the south and through a dense forest and to the ruins. The baths of San Juan count with waterfalls and natural pools.
