The bar only functions as such during the daytime, since in the evenings it becomes a sort of open air discothèque where one can dance to Cuban music performed live until the small hours. The place has turned out to be one of the sites most preferred by tourists seeking to make the most of the long Varadero nights beyond the options their hotels can provide. Mind that most hotels offer cabaret shows, but these generally come to an end shortly before midnight, far too early for souls marked by the spirit of partying and bohemian joie de vivre.
