Ernest Hemingway started visiting Cuba in the 1920's when he was living just across the straits in key west and then settled in his farm in Cuba which later became a pilgrimage in the 1960's for Hollywood's rich and fashionable.


Close ties exist between the american writer and the people in Cuba. Ernest was loved in Cuba and in his turn, Hemingway donated his Nobel Prize for Literature to the Cuban people.



This tour will take you the nobel prize winner's home in Cuba, and many other sites he use to frequent and where many of his renowned works were created.


The excursion includes a visit to La Vigía Farmhouse, Hemingway's former residence, as well as the fisherman's village in Cojimar where the writer found muse to write "The Old Man and the Sea".


Other sites included are the Hemingway's monument, Las Terrazas Restaurant, temple of the author and his later boat's captain, Gregorio Fuentes; The former Havana Nautical Club, at the Port Avenue and room 511 at the Ambos Mundos Hotel where Hemingway used to stay in the 1930's.
