Built in 1999 and renovated in 2007, hotel Iberostar Tainos is set on one of the widest sections of Varadero Beach. Renovation and redecoration works in 2007 included the Lobby, Rooms, Main Buffet, Bars, Pool, and Miniclub areas of the hotel. The Japanese Restaurant, gym, theatre, and the hotel's beach access were also renewed.
Hotel Iberostar Tainos is carefully integrated with its natural surroundings, and wrapped in tropical gardens.
Although not as virtuous as its fellow Iberostar hotels in the area, Iberostar Tainos constitutes a choice that offers a fair value-for-money correlation.
Feedbacks about this hotel are sometimes contradictory. Some love it, some hate it. One needs to remember that this is a lower rise Iberostar hotel in the area and maybe expectations are not adequate in some cases. But overall, this hotel is full year–round and complaints are actually little. It is a friendly hotel with abundant entertainment, adequate rooms, well-kept ground areas, pool and an outstanding beach.
Despite maybe some negative feedbacks and smaller gripes, probably one of its kind in the area for a nice family stay and kids.
Food, again really seems to depend on the expectations. But the restaurants offer a selection which should provide options for everyone. It is normally plentiful and varied. Best is the Japanese, and reviews on the Cuban restaurant seem to leave some to wish for.
