This all-inclusive Varadero hotel Iberostar Playa Alameda has a colonial motif and exquisite decor, set in carefully tended tropical gardens and directly on the beach. Grounds and gardens are very nice and well-kept by its dedicated staff.
Probably one of the best features of Hotel Iberostar Playa Alameda is its friendly and caring staff; always willing to help in a gracious manner. Same goes for the entertainment team who provide all-day-round activities around the beach and the pool for anyone willing to participate. Families with children will particularly find this entertaining and handy.
Beach is nice although not the best in Varadero as some spots in the water do have rocky areas. But beautiful white sand and transparent turquoise waters as in the entire peninsula. It is easy to find a lounge and towels with the helpful staff around. TIP: Bring beach rubber shoes.
Rooms are spacious, air conditioned and clean with a bathroom with both a tub and shower. It may be best to get a room on the first floor to keep the bugs away. It is a tropical country after all.
Hotel offers buffet with a varied selection fairly suited for most guests. Grilled food is usually available with meat or seafood. Snack bar by the pool is also handy with light snacks, food and drinks. There are three menu restaurants, one Italian, a gourmet and a seafood restaurant.
Several bars are available. One on the beach, by the pool and the lobby, among others. TIP: For the beach and pool bring your insulated mug to keep you from many trips to the bar for more provisions of ice and drinks. The lobby bar is quite nice, air conditioned, great service, drinks and coffee.
Overall, Hotel Iberostar Playa Alameda is nice hotel especially for families, children and friends willing to find a friendly service and entertainment.
