Right on one corner of the Port Avenue, the Armadores de Santander hotel erects magnificently. Its architectural motifs and decoration evoke the beautiful and maritime Spanish region of Santander.
It comprises three adjoining buildings and has 39 capacious rooms, including
three duplexes, a junior suite, and a thoroughly contemporary suite -perhaps
the finest room in Havana- with a whirlpool tub in the center of the mezzanine bedroom with a four-poster bed.
All rooms feature lush hardwoods, colonial tile floors, and handsome
furnishings, including state-of-the-art bathrooms. One room is accessible for
travellers with disabilities.
From many rooms, which are filled with the sea breeze, guests can see ships
entering and leaving the bay of Havana.
A rooftop terrace offers views over the harbor, plus there's a bar, billiards
room, and the fine restaurant "Cantabria" that specializes
in the native food from Santander and in the international cuisine.
This property is another rescued jewel of the Old Havana, opened in 2002
after a complete restoration that returned the building to its former glory as a
