Overview:

Founded in 1907, the hotel Plaza is the oldest of the hotels in Camagüey. This hotel stands directly across from the train station, right in the convergence of the city’s main access roads, a bit of a walk away from the city centre.

All of the 67 large basic rooms differ from each other, with different sizes and shapes, following the contour of the building.

It treasures amongst its many relevant and curious events having lodged the Chilean poet and Nobel Prize Gabriela Mistral, and the airing in 1924 of the first radio broadcast outside the capital. The original microphone and photographs of the epoch are showed in the room number 21.
