There are three picturesque small coves called "Las Caleticas" with direct access from the complex.

Hotel Paradisus Rio de Oro is a low density resort with many small room blocks around the property; built on a hillside so many rooms have beautiful views over the countryside.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the service is good and the beaches are heavenly.

The resort, although dated, is actually very cleanly kept. The pool has a waterfall and count with many sunbeds and shade.

The beach is only few steps away from the pool and also provides many sunbeds. Snorkeling is nice, especially if you do so by coral reef near the hotel gazebo area where you might even spot some fish swimming by. Hobie cats, canoes, pedaloes and more are usually available and included. Scuba diving lessons are also available and pleasant.

It is best to book the a la carte restaurants on your arrival to avoid long waits later on and they are worth the visit.

Junior suites are airy and spotless and their furniture and decoration comfortable and clean but do expect the best rooms and service when booking the Royal Service.

Hotel Paradisus Rio de Oro, being an adult’s only hotel, is a very good option for couples looking for a romantic Cuba vacation or just a good service hotel near the beach to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This is a great choice in Holguin and the best one in this beautiful and interesting area.
