Located on the picturesque promenade Paseo del Prado, just a few steps away from the cultural treasures of Old Havana, the Hotel Sevilla is one of the four grand historical hotels (Sevilla, Inglaterra, Plaza and Saratoga) near the Parque Central, by the old side of Havana City.

Built in 1908, with marked Mudéjar (Spanish Arab) influence in its architecture, the Hotel Sevilla is a classic full of history, as shown by the photo gallery in the ground floor with pictures of the celebrities and gangsters who stayed here during the hotel’s heydays in the '30s and '40s.

The hotel even features in Graham Greene's novel "Our Man in Havana".

Passing the lofty arched doorway, you enter a great 1001 Arabian Nights lobby enhanced by beautiful ceramic tiles, where the pleasant Patio Sevillano with its whispering fountain becomes the ideal place to chill out after the city’s rigors. The “Mary Pickford” (rum, pineapple juice, grenadine and ice) is the specialty of the house; this refreshing cocktail was invented in this bar in the 1920s.

Upstairs, there is a marvelous rooftop restaurant, where the large windows that surround the room command spectacular views over Havana's old city and out to the Caribbean Sea.

Rooms are tastefully adorned with elegant colonial furniture.
