Built in the late 1930s and inaugurated in 1939, the Art Deco building was considered the most majestic of its time, being the most important theater in the city of Holguín.
It is currently the headquarters of the Rodrigo Prat Lyrical Theater from Holguin and the Codanza company.
With capacity for more than a thousand spectators and the equipment of lights, audio and other modern requirements to face contemporary shows, it currently has a program that includes a hundred zarzuelas, operettas and musical magazines.
